This website, quincus.com, is operated by Quincus Pte. Ltd., a company registered in Singapore under registration number 201840956E, with its registered address at 12 Marina View, #11-19, Asia Square Tower 2, Singapore 018961. In this policy, "Quincus", "we", "us", and "our" refer to Quincus Pte. Ltd. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Information you submit. When you use the contact form, we collect the details you provide: your name, work email, company, role if you choose to give it, the topic you select, and your message. Alongside the submission we record the page you submitted from, your browser's user agent string, and the time of submission. If you email us directly, we receive the contents of your email and your email address. If you subscribe to the Journal, we collect your email address, the page you subscribed from, your browser's user agent string, and the time of subscription.
Technical data. Our infrastructure providers, including hosting, content delivery, and security services, process IP addresses and request metadata in server logs in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. The content delivery and bot protection layer may set strictly necessary technical cookies. We do not run advertising trackers or marketing pixels on this website, and we do not sell personal data.
Whistleblowing reports
The form at /whistleblowing collects what happened, optional details about when and where it happened and who was involved, and your confirmation that the report is made in good faith. Your name and email address are optional, so you can report anonymously. We store the report, its reference, and submission date in our managed cloud database. The form does not store your IP address, browser user agent, or source page with the report. Reports are sent to the whistleblowing@quincus.com mailbox and can be read only by named whistleblowing officers in a restricted admin area. Each report access in that area records the officer's email address and timestamp. General staff admin access does not grant access to reports. You can also report by email to whistleblowing@quincus.com; an email report includes your email address. Reports are kept for as long as needed to investigate and to meet legal obligations.
Journal emails
When you subscribe, we store your email address and subscription date in our managed cloud database, along with the source page and browser user agent. The Journal email system is set up for 1 email when a new essay is published, containing the essay title, excerpt, and link. Sending is not yet connected. Every email includes an unsubscribe link to /journal/unsubscribe, where you can confirm that you want to unsubscribe. Unsubscribing stops further Journal emails.
How we use personal data
We use the information you submit to respond to your inquiry, to notify you of new Journal essays if you subscribe, to evaluate and progress a potential commercial engagement, to operate, secure, and improve the website, and to comply with legal obligations. Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent given by submitting the form, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the website and in responding to business inquiries, and compliance with legal obligations.
Where data is stored
Contact submissions are stored in a managed cloud database, and the website runs on managed cloud infrastructure. Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. We use established providers and rely on appropriate safeguards for such processing.
How long we keep it
We keep contact submissions while we handle your inquiry and for up to 24 months after our last interaction with you, unless a longer period is required for legal, regulatory, or contractual purposes, after which they are deleted.
Who we share it with
We share personal data with service providers that operate the website and database on our behalf, under contract and only for the purposes described here. We may share it with professional advisers, and with authorities where the law requires it. If Quincus is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction and will remain subject to this policy. We do not sell personal data to anyone.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, or to unsubscribe from Journal emails, write to us at partnerships@quincus.com and we will respond in accordance with applicable law.
Children
This website is directed at businesses and professionals. It is not intended for individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Third-party links
Pages on this website, including the Journal and the Newsroom, link to external websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control and for which we are not responsible.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page with its last updated date.
